Following is one of the ahadeeth which Professor Persuad studied:
When forty-two nights have passed over the conceptus, Allah sends an angel to shape it and create its hearing, vision, skin, muscles and bones. Then the angel asks: O Lord, will it be male or female? And Allah decides what He wills and the angel records it. [Saheeh Muslim, Kitaab Al-Qadar]
Please think about what you are saying! Do we become male or female at day 42? What were we before then? The sex of a child is determined at conception, not at 42 days. Also, what was the embryo composed of before the 42nd day if it did not have skin and muscles? The Qur'an and Hadith tell us that the embryo was a blood clot prior to the 42nd day! In any event, what does this have to do with the subject of this chapter - lewdness and disease?
Could you please quote the Hadith and/or provide us with a reference? I have looked extensively in the MSA-USC Hadith Database and CANNOT find this Hadith or any similar to it!
An additional issue is the morality of diseases according to the Hadith. Sahih Bukhari Volume 4, Book 52, Number 82:
Allah's Apostle said, "Five are regarded as martyrs: They are those who die because of plague, abdominal disease, drowning or a falling building etc., and the martyrs in Allah's Cause."
Therefore, are those "martyrs", who die in these new plagues, "lewd"?
But don't worry, Muhammad and the Hadith, give us the cure:
Sahih Bukhari Volume 7, Book 71, Number 592:
I heard Allah's Apostle saying, "There is healing in black cumin for all diseases except death."
